Empathy is often celebrated as the solution to the conflicts of our time. But how reliable is it, really? This lecture goes beyond the ideals and explores the mechanisms, limitations, and biases of empathy. When does empathy make us more moral—and when does it lead us astray? And can Acem meditation expand our ability to understand others?
